How does WFA tackle online data transparency, and how it fits with EDAA and the wider ecosystem

The World Federation of Advertisers’ (WFA) Manifesto sets out principles guiding the work of WFA on digital governance and digital policy, and how it involves not only brand owners but the entire online advertising ecosystem.

The Manifesto focuses on 3 key areas:

  1. User experience: transparency choice and control on how their data is collected
  2. Responsible data supply chains: full oversight on the supply chain to make sure data is collected in an ethical way
  3. Responsible data management: what data collected can be managed and used

In 2019, WFA will be looking into exploring what really are data ethics, what brand owners should be doing and how to best work with the rest of the ecosystem.
