EDAA is excited to announce its 2019 consumer research, titled How EU citizens perceive digital advertising since GDPR, won the Gold prize in the Consumer Attitudes and Behaviour category at the 2020 IAB Europe Research Awards.
EDAA was thrilled to be considered amongst an exceptional set of research winners (see the full list here), but also those that were shortlisted.
“We’re delighted that our deep dive into consumer attitudes and behaviours is being recognised as a thought provoking and leading research. At EDAA, we deliver consumer centric, self regulatory principles, tools and resources to enable companies to ensure they deliver online advertising in a responsible way. The insights from this study not only reinforce our approach, but guide us towards meaningful future developments with the consumer front and centre.”

Consumer perceptions and attitudes towards digital advertising post-GDPR
EDAA’s research, run through the independent and established research agency MTM, was conducted in 2019 in France, Germany, Poland, Spain & the UK to explore consumer attitudes and perceptions towards online advertising and determine how these may have changed since the introduction of GDPR.
MTM is delighted that this excellent study is being recognised. In these challenging times, with our physical worlds diminished by the novel coronavirus, it is more important than ever that the digital advertising industry can get the basics right and ensure a transparent and thriving ecosystem for both consumers and the economy. This project shines a light on the valuable progress made, and the critical role of the EDAA’s consumer-centric self-regulatory programme and tools, yet also highlights there is work still to be done.
